About Dr. Clay

Dr. Clay was born and raised in the small town of Clovis, New Mexico. His upbringing was rich in alternative and holistic healthcare. Dr. Clay always knew he wanted to make a difference in people's lives through a professional healing art however, approaching the end of his undergraduate career, Dr. Clay was still unsure of what direction to take upon graduation. After much contemplation and prayer, Dr. Clay decided to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, who had been a Chiropractor, and began the journey to improving others' lives by hand only, the chiropractic way. While in school, Dr. Clay chose to study much more than chiropractic alone. Additionally, he has training in myofascial release therapy, soft tissue manipulation, applied neuroscience, nutrition, and functional medicine. During his years at Parker University, Dr. Clay fell in love with the profession of Chiropractic and continues to grow his love for the philosophy, art, and science of it every day.

My Philosophy

The Major Premise of chiropractic states a Universal Intelligence is in all matter and continuously gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence. The principle of Innate Intelligence states a "living thing" has an inborn intelligence within its body, called Innate Intelligence. I believe this Innate Intelligence expresses itself through the Nervous System, continuously receiving information from the internal and external environments and responding to this information. B.J. Palmer once said, "the power that made the body, heals the body." I fully believe this is true and strive to help promote a state where the power that made the body has the ability to heal the body from Above-Down and Inside-Out. By addressing imbalances in the spine and lifestyle, Universal and Innate Intelligence are able to direct the healing process and maintain an optimally functioning body.
